Public viewing of the documentary film Nightmare in Nanking"
produced by Wu Haiyan and directed by R. Joseph, Ph.D. (www.brainmind.com/nanking.html) - San Diego State University: December 9, 2:00-5:00pm. The event is to be hosted by APHFIC and The Melody Show with guest speaker Director Dr. Rhawn Joseph.
APHAFIC Outreach Committee visits San Diego High School
December 12 and 13, 2006. Jack Meng, Colonel Frank Mason and Nancy Lo visited the school and presented the film Japanese Devils. Colonel Mason spoke with students about his experiences as a POW in Japan during WWII and Nancy Lo presented the school two books about the Rape of Nanking. Click here for details.
From the Land of Bitter Tears
The film From the Land of Bitter Tears by 30-year-old film producer Kana Tomoko documents the affects of residual chemicals and weapons from WWII on the Chinese people 60 years after the war. There were two presentations of this film on September 26th in San Diego. Click here for details.
P40 Warhawk Display
June 24 and 25, 2006 - Annual Ramona Air Show. The San Diego Chinese Historical Museum and the Association for Preserving Historical Accuracy of Foreign Invasions in China (APHAFIC) hosted a display of a P-40 Warhawk flown by Flying Tigers during WWII. See photo here.
